What is Mental Health First Aid?
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course which teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health in the workplace and other settings and provide help on a first aid basis.
MHFA England training won’t train you to be a therapist, but just like physical first aid, it will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis.
Adult MHFA England courses are for everyone aged 16 upwards. Our MHFA course is delivered by a professional trainer accredited by the Royal Society for Public Health, assuring you that they are properly qualified and taught how to keep people safe and supported while they learn.

Great content and Gayle was a great teacher and very supportive.
I have really enjoyed the course. Gayle was a great instructor. She was professional but open and friendly which encouraged everyone to feel comfortable to share their experiences and thoughts and to ask any questions. I feel that I could now help and support People much more confidently.
I thought the course was excellent, especially given how much there was to cover.
What will I learn?
Learning takes place through a mix of group activities, presentations and discussions. We are now delivering face-to-face training inline with current Government advice. What you learn will depend on the length of course you attend:
